Ashley Halberstadt is the profile piece for October. Ashley has been with BLASTmedia for over two years now and just recently purchased her first home and was promoted to consumer team manager. Take a few minutes to get to know Ashley….

Hometown:  Richmond, IN

College(s) attended: Butler University (Go Dawgs!)

Favorite sport: I like watching basketball more than other sports, but dodgeball and bowling are my favorites to play

Favorite movie: Wizard of Oz, but a big fan of all cheesy romantic comedies (Mannequin is a great one!)

Favorite Indianapolis restaurant: Toughie – probably Aristocrat, but I’m almost always at a chain restaurant of some kind.

Random fact: I started college as a theatre major.

One word to describe you: Unpredictable

What’s on your iPod: A sock. (Literally, my iPod has a sock-like case). Oh, like songs? Everything, I’m very eclectic.

Favorite Twitterer you follow: @Mental_Floss and @Ringorang – I enjoyed random knowledge.

How would you describe your job at BLASTmedia: In the words of Forrest Gump, “like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” Each day brings something new, which is great because I don’t like to be bored!

What’s the biggest thrill you’ve had while working at BLAST: I got to be on TV (Retirement Living TV, but still) and it was filmed at an AARP convention. I met Dr. Ruth there too, and that was pretty great!

What do you like to do outside of BLAST: Admittedly, my DVR keeps me very busy, but I also take dance classes (recitals, costumes and everything!) and read a LOT.
